About Gigtix

Meet the team behind the scenes! Learn about our tickets, how we source and sell them and our responsibilities as part of the Fair Ticketing Alliance.

We are music fans at heart! We started Gigtix to source tickets for friends, colleagues and family as well as to buy tickets for bands that we really love.

It was enjoyable finding and distributing the tickets alongside being able to potentially make a small profit. Of course, back then primary market agencies did not refund tickets or have their own resale exchange facilities. Very quickly the part-time hobby we had created for ourselves became a full-time business. Gigtix was first established in 2012 and upholds an integrity we continue to passionately protect and are really proud of:

Our tickets are sourced from reputable suppliers we know and trust. Every ticket we have is listed on our website.

Trusted Sources

Prices are set by Gigtix with no hidden fees or tricky upsells so you know that what you buy is what you get.

Fair Prices

Buying tickets with Gigtix is simple. Find your ticket, add to cart, pop to your online bank of choice, wait for delivery!

Easy To Buy

Learning Curves

During the early days we were the victims of several ticket scams on some prominent classified sites. These sites offered no support in the event of a problem with a transaction.

This experience highlighted the real need for customers to be able to deal with safe ticket resale traders, like Gigtix, as well as online platforms which offered meaningful guarantees. It also inspired the creation of the Fair Ticketing Alliance (FTA) in 2018.

About

Steve

Company Director & Chief Tixpert

The first album I listened to was ‘Ghost in the Machine’ by The Police. My uncle had bought it for me in 1981. A good start to a lifelong love of music!

During my teenage years I loved the New Romantics and Electronica scene…Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Soft cell, Gary Numan. As my taste developed I moved onto Goth music – The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Mission. I also loved the Manchester scene, particularly Joy Division who will always be the first band I return to listen to although whilst working I listen to old and new music all day long; this will never change.

When I moved from the Midlands to London in 2005 I became actively involved in the London gig scene. I loved visiting niche London venues to see new, breakthrough bands and enjoyed following their path to success. It was whilst following these bands I stumbled upon the ticketing industry by chance after my girlfriend and I couldn’t make a particular gig. I started Gigtix in 2012 and have never looked back.

Company Secretary & Chief Writer

Music has always been a passion of mine. As a teenager I was a typical 80’s pop fan, I loved Duran Duran, A-ha, Aztec Camera and a whole host of other bands and singers.

At the age of 17 I heard ‘She Bangs the Drum’ by The Stone Roses. That song sparked my journey into indie music… the ‘Madchester’ bands… Brit pop… shoegazing… I loved it all! I’m now in my 40’s and still love indie music over any other genre and regularly go to see bands play live. Foals are my number one band, closely followed by The National but really I have too many favourites from past to present.

I joined the Gigtix team full-time in January 2020. Alongside administrative tasks such as logging ticket purchases and dispatching tickets to fans I am responsible for researching new music. This is the part of the job I love the most, finding out about new artists as they break onto the music scene. I don’t think my love of music will ever change and I’ll be punching the air along to songs forever!
