This beautiful grade II listed building was opened in 1939 after it’s predecessor was raised to the ground by a fire in 1933. The hall is built with fawn-coloured facing bricks, and is three storeys high. The main hall of which contains a 3-manual pipe organ and rising cinema screen. The hall stages 60 or more classical concerts a year by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and hosts many other events such as Cliff Richard, Bryan Ferry, Kraftwerk plus stand up comedy evenings.
